Introduction: Sponsored by Chinese Economists 50 Forum (CE50), the “40th anniversary of China's economic reform & opening-up and CE50 20th anniversary seminar” was held at Beijing Diaoyutai State Guesthouse on the afternoon of Sep.16, and the theme of the forum is “The new mission of the reform and opening-up in the new era”. LIU He, Vice Premier of the State Council and chief initiator of CE50 attended the activity, and FANG Gang, Vice President of China Society of Economic Reform (CSER) attended and presided over the meeting. More than 40 CE50 members such as WU Jinglian, YI Gang, LOU Jiwei, WU Xiaoling, YANG Weimin, MA Jiantang, LIN Yifu, and QIAN Yingyi, more than 20 entrepreneurs attended the seminar, and nearly 100 specially-invited guests and more than 10 media attended the meeting. LIU Guangchao, President of Green Legal Global Alliance (GLGA), Director of Beijing DOCVIT Law Firm, and CE50 entrepreneur member attended the seminar on invitation, and was graciously received by Vice Premier LIU He. 

At the seminar, WU Jinglian, researcher at Development Research Center of the State Council, LOU Jiwei, Director of the 13th CPPCC Committee of Foreign Affairs, President of the National Council for Social Security Fund (NCSSF), and member of the Party Group of NCSSF, BAI Chong'en, member of China Democratic National Construction Association’s 11th CPC Central Committee, and member of the Proposals Committee of The 13th National Committee of the CPPCC, LIN Yifu, Honorary President of the National School of Development of Peking University, and President of Institute of New Structural Economics at Peking University, and YANG Weimin, member of the 13th CPPCC Standing Committee and Deputy Director of CPPCC Economic Committee, made a speech and discussed respectively. 

FANG Gang said, this year was the 40th anniversary of China’s reform and opening-up, and also the 20th anniversary of the founding of Chinese Economists 50 Forum (CE50); in order to commemorate this special day, CE50 Secretariat published the book The 20 Years of 50 People, which was completed by all CE50 members together and reviewed the issues discussed at CE50 over the past 20 years and the stories such as “How the forum could go far”. In addition, the forum compiled some precious photos into a photo book 20 Years Passed in A Flash. At the same time, the Secretariat invited teachers from the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University to make a special sculpture carved with the names of CE50 members and entrepreneur members, paying tribute to each of the colleagues who worked silently for China's economic development. 

LIU Guangcha, President of Green Legal Global Alliance (GLGA), Director of Beijing DOCVIT Law Firm and entrepreneur member of CE50, has served as the forum’s entrepreneur member for ten years, and has witnessed how the forum has accompanied China's economic development. From the perspective of a legal practitioner, Liu made suggestions and contributions to promoting the sound, benign and standardized development of China's economy and finance. 

Twenty years ago, LIU He, YI Gang, FANG Gang and other economists initiated the Chinese Economists 50 Forum (CE50). In the past 20 years, they have held annual meetings and important forums for dozens of times, over 10 Sino-foreign high-level economic dialogues and exchanges, nearly 100 internal discussions, and over 300 sessions of Sina "Chang'an Forum", and have published nearly 50 publications and monographs, and about 200 issues of monthly magazines, making great contributions to the sound development of the Chinese economy
